Our Doctors

Dr. A. Luther Bonnett, IV

Dr. Bonnett, a Christian saved by God’s grace, is a native of Rowesville, SC. After growing up in this rural Orangeburg County town and graduating from Orangeburg Preparatory Schools, he attended Clemson University. He received his medical doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina then completed his pediatric training at the Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Bonnett is married to Betsy and they have five boys and a girl. They attend Christ Church of the Carolinas where he has been blessed to serve.

Dr. Jerri Lynn Shealy

Dr. Jerri Lynn Shealy grew up in Prosperity and attended Mid-Carolina High School. After finishing Furman University she then went to medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

She is married to Clint and they have twin girls and a son. They attend Zion United Methodist Church.

Dr. Meghan Arant Thompson

Dr. Meghan Thompson grew up in  Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended the College of Charleston where she majored in math and then received her medical doctorate from the  University of Tennessee. Her pediatric training was completed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital which currently ranks third in the nation in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2011 Best Children’s Hospitals. She then moved to Columbia and completed a one year fellowship at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. She served the Sumter area in private practice for one year prior to moving to Chapin and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Thompson is married to Jason who is a financial advisor for AXA. They have a dog named Lucy and are expecting their first child in October. Her hobbies include running, yoga, and cooking. The Thompsons attend Union United Methodist Church.
